Uganda Adventure: Gorillas, Waterfalls & The Big Five
This 13 Days Road Trip is your great opportunity to stand close to unguarded Mountain Gorillas and to interface with the Big Five of Africa that many people “crave” to see! In between the first and last day of the safari, you will track man’s closest cousin, the chimpanzees and also explore the world’s longest river-the Nile River.
You will traverse arid and semi-arid areas of Karamoja; go through savannah grasslands, thickets, forests, escarpments and valleys! You will go past mountain ranges, cross rivers and laze at lake shores.
With this safari, you do receive a life times’ moment with nature, get to learn more about primates by physically observing them and you optimally utilize your holiday by adventuring, meeting new people and enjoying life in Africa.
Upon arriving at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by a member of our staff, who will then transfer you to the lodge in Entebbe for relaxation and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will embark on the road drive to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to experience life with the white rhinos. We will be looking out for moments as rhinos charge and use their prized horns to dig the ground and as well break tree branches. Rhinos
After tracking the rhinos, you will proceed to Gulu town for your overnight sleep.

After a relaxed breakfast, you will embark on a 5 hours’ drive through the vast plains and semi-arid savannah of Northern Uganda to Kidepo Valley National Park.
On arrival in Kidepo, you will have a cultural interaction with Karamojong people by visiting a homestead. You will meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them as they show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items used by them. The Karamojong are still traditionally attached to their culture and you will find out when you observe how they selflessly love and defend their cattle, their way of dressing and the nature of their houses.
Accommodation at Kidepo Savannah Lodge
This day will start with a morning game drive in the Narus Valley where you will have chances of encountering animals such as Hunting dog, Bat-eared Fox, Elephants, Herds of Buffaloes, Lions Antelopes and other animals endemic to Kidepo National Park like the cheetah and the striped hyena.
In the evening, you will again enter the park to immerse yourself in the natural beauty as you conduct a game drive in the vast and pristine wilderness of the Kidepo Valley National Park.

You will leave Kidepo Valley on this day and head southwards to Murchison Falls National Park which is Uganda’s largest national park.
On arrival at the park, you will directly drive to the lodge for your relaxation and overnight stay.

Your adventure begins with a game drive in the northern circuit, where you'll encounter stunning rolling plains and a variety of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalos, elephants, antelopes, spotted hyenas and leopards.
In the afternoon, we invite you to join us on a shared boat trip to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Here, you'll have the opportunity to witness the breathtaking sight of the Nile as it flows through a narrow 7-meter gap and cascades down to the delta. The roar of the falls is truly a marvel to behold - don't miss this incredible experience.

After breakfast, you will embark on a 7-hour journey to Kibale National Park, a journey filled spectacular views where you will appreciate the authentic beauty of Uganda's countryside.
However, you will first make a stop at the top of the Murchison Falls. Prepare to be awestruck as you witness the raw power of the Nile River as it plunges through a narrow crevice, creating the spectacular Murchison Falls. The force, sound and speed of the water is truly a sight to behold.
After marveling at the falls, you will proceed with your drive to Kibale National Park.

Early morning, you will have the chance to encounter the fascinating chimpanzees of Kibale Forest, our closest relatives sharing 98.7% of our DNA composition. These intelligent and sociable primates are known for their use of tools, including rocks for crushing nuts, empty pods for collecting water, and sticks for capturing termites.
In addition to chimpanzees, Kibale Forest is home to a variety of other primates, including Colobus Monkeys and Mangabey, as well as a diverse array of birds (some of which are rare, threatened, or endemic), butterflies, flowers, and other insects.
After a rewarding visit to Kibale Forest, you will travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will have the chance to take in the breathtaking views of the Rwenzori Mountain ranges.
Overnight stay at The Bush Lodge
Early morning, you will conduct a game drive in the Kasenyi plains where you will see various animals such as Elephants, Buffaloes and Antelopes. Spotting cats (lions & leopards) comes with luck. It's therefore very advisable that you opt in for the lion experiential tracking to increase your chances of spotting the Big Five of Africa. (A fee of $500 is charged per person, and is not included in the quoted tour price).
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise on the spectacular Kazinga Channel which connects Lake Edward to Lake George. The boat ride along the banks will give you an opportunity to see yawning hippos in water and you will see large herds of Uganda kob drinking water with their black and white spiraled horns making it suitable for fabulous photos. You will also be in position to see Nile crocodiles sunbathe on the banks while elephants disappear beneath the water poking their trunks up like snorkels.
Overnight stay at The Bush Lodge
After a leisurely breakfast, embark on a scenic drive through the rolling-terraced hills and forests of the South Western region to Bwindi. This scenic journey takes about 4-5 hours.
Overnight stay at Gorilla Valley Lodge.
Early in the morning, you will embark on your gorilla trekking adventure. This unique activity takes you through densely forested, steep hills until you finally meet these tranquil giants. Once gorillas are located, you will be allowed a maximum of one hour at their vicinity, before walking out of the dense forest.
Gorilla trekking time is usually between 2-6 hours, but may even be longer depending on the behavior of the gorillas and their interactions with other gorilla families.
After gorilla trekking, you get back to the lodge for relaxation and relaxation and overnight stay.

We wind our expedition with a deserved relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi. Laze at the shore of the lake and watch the sun sink behind the hills of Bunyonyi and Kabale! It is a nice moment to wine and enjoy the breeze of the lake! While here, you will also enjoy canoeing and swimming.

After breakfast, embark on 9 hours’ drive to Entebbe Airport for your departure flight. Along the way, make a brief stop at the equator line for the chance to capture memorable photos and participate in interesting and entertaining experiments. We recommend booking your departure flight between 20:00-21:00 hrs.
