Gorilla Encounters, Wildlife, and Hiking in Mountain Rwenzori

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Arrive at Entebbe Airport, where you will be greeted by our staff and transferred to your accommodation for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park & Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Start your day with breakfast before a scenic 3-hour drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Next, continue to Murchison Falls National Park, stopping at the breathtaking top of the falls to witness the Nile River's powerful plunge. Keep an eye out for wildlife on your way to the lodge.

Day 3: Explore Murchison Falls National Park

Embark on an early morning game drive in the northern circuit, where you might see lions, giraffes, elephants, and more. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip to the bottom of Murchison Falls for stunning views.

Day 4: Travel to Kasese for Mount Rwenzori Climbing

Journey to Kasese for an exciting hiking adventure on Mount Rwenzori. Enjoy the beautiful Ugandan countryside, spotting wildlife and fresh fruits along the way.

Day 5: Hike from Base to Sine Hut (2596m)

Begin your climb through the lush Tal forest, observing diverse bird species and blue monkeys. Experience the beauty of nature while pushing your limits.

Day 6: Hike from Sine Hut to Mutinda Camp (3582m)

Start your trek into the Bamboo-Mimulopsis Zone, navigating steep climbs and enjoying the rich flora. Rest at Kalalama Camp for a coffee break before continuing.

Day 7: Trek to Bugata Camp (4100m)

Cross Mutinda Valley, surrounded by giant lobelias and waterfalls. Reach Bugata Camp for a well-deserved rest after a challenging day.

Day 8: Trek to Hunwick’s Camp (4450m)

Depart from Bugata Camp and ascend to Bamwanjarra Pass. Enjoy breathtaking views before reaching Hunwick’s Camp to relax.

Day 9: Hike to Margherita Camp (4485m)

Journey down to Lake Kitendara, then tackle the climb up Scott Elliot’s Pass to reach Margherita Camp for comfortable lodging.

Day 10: Early Morning Hike to Margherita Peak (5109m)

Rise early for the ascent to the highest peak, Mt. Stanley. Enjoy spectacular views before descending back to Hunwick’s Camp.

Day 11: Trek to Kiharo Camp (3430m)

Descend from Hunwick’s Camp to Kiharo Camp, where you can unwind in a tranquil valley surrounded by cliffs.

Accommodation: Kiharo Camp

Day 12: Descend to Park Gate and Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Enjoy a scenic 12 km hike back to the base, then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for relaxation.

Day 13: Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start with a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where you may spot elephants, lions, and more. In the afternoon, take a 2-hour boat ride on the Kazinga Channel for wildlife viewing.

Day 14: Travel to Bwindi Forest National Park

After breakfast, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to nearly half of the world's mountain gorillas.

Day 15: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Experience the unforgettable thrill of gorilla trekking through lush forests. Spend an hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

Conclude your journey with a drive back to Entebbe, stopping at the equator for photo opportunities and fun experiments.
