The safari takes you exploring animal habitats comprised in the wild game park of Murchison Falls National Park as well as climbing mount Rwenzori to the highest peak.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT AND TRANSFER TO THE LODGE FOR OVERNIGHT STAY
Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be warmly received by one of the company staff member who will then transfer you to the hotel/lodge for your relaxation and overnight stay.

DAY 2: TRAVEL TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK WITH RHINO TRACKING AT ZIWA AND A VISIT THE TOP OF THE FALLS
After breakfast, you will immediately embark on a 3 hours of road drive to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary and experience tracking rhinos. After tracking the rhinos, you will proceed with the drive to Murchison Falls National Park.
Before crossing to the northern sector of the park, you will visit the top of the falls. While at the top, you will feel your breath taken away as you experience the force, the sound and the speed of the Nile River as it is pushed through a small gap between the rocks to create Murchison Falls.
After visiting the top of the falls, you will proceed with the drive to the lodge, while viewing
wild animals that you may encounter on your way.

DAY 3: EXPLORATION OF MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
This day of your Safari gets you to encounter with the natural establishment of Murchison Falls
National Park. You will begin your exploration of the park with a game drive in the northern
circuit of the park. There, you will encounter beautiful rolling plains. While in these plains you
may view Lions, Giraffes, Buffalos, Elephants, Antelopes, and Hippos, Spotted Hyenas as well as
many of the other mammals of the park. For the birders, this area supports the Secretary Bird,
Black-chested Snake Eagle, Tawny and Martial Eagles Carmine and Swallow-tailed Bee-Eaters
In the afternoon, you will go for a boat trip to the bottom of Murchison Falls where the Nile thunders through a small 7-meter gap down to the delta. This experience is breath taking and should not to be missed.

DAY 4: TRAVEL TO KASESE FOR MOUNT RWENZORI CLIMBING
You will get more of this adventure by travelling to Kasese to conduct yet another core activity of this safari-hiking to the highest peak of Mt.Rwenzori. This journey is relatively long and it is likely to take you about 7-8 hours of drive time.
Though long and may appear strenuous, you will however get an authentic feel of the African country side and specifically
Uganda’s country side. You will encounter wildlife as you cross the Bugungu Wildlife Reserve, you will have occasional stop overs to taste Uganda’s fresh fruits and be amazed by natural features along the route such as the Rift valley escarpments and the lakes. Going through the entire village set up will also be a learning moment.

DAY 5: HIKE FROM THE BASE TO SINE HUT AT 2596 METERS (Day 1 hike with altitude gain of
You will begin your climbing expedition by walking up the valley floor passing through the tal forest tress of the Afro Montane Forest Zone. This is a steady climb with many birds and at times, blue monkeys can be spotted. You will continue hiking passing through various tree species until you reach the accommodation site.

DAY 6: HIKE FROM SINE HUT TO MUTINDA CAMP AT 3582 METERS (Day 2 Hike with altitude gain of about 986m)
At 8:30 am, you will resume trekking by entering the Bamboo-Mimulopsis Zone which is a steep climb with many high steps. The hiking will continue to Kalalama camp located in the Heather-Rapanea Zone where you will most likely take a rest and a quick cup of coffee. This trail meanders up over very small knolls and drops down the valley side and has an enormous variety of plants and flowers. This valley has many giant heather trees creating a beautiful atmosphere often shrouded in mist.

You will proceed with the hike by crossing the Mutinda valley passing through the tussock grass and everlasting flowers interspersed with many Giant -Lobelias. You will then begin climbing a steep section up to the Namusangi Valley at 3840meters which has many sheer waterfalls.

DAY 8: TREK PAST HUNWICK’S CAMP VIA BAMWANJARRA PASS TO AN ALTITUDE OF 4450M
(Day 4 trek with an altitude gain of 350m)
As you leave Bugata camp, you will pass up a ridge and then slop down slightly before ascending to Bamwanjarra pass at 4450 meters where there is a hut for resting in case the weather turns bad. The trail passes down the valley and around the edge of some bogs and thick ever green vegetation, moss, giant groundsel and lobelia.

DAY 9: HIKE FROM HUNWICK’S CAMP TO MARGHERITA CAMP AT 4485 METERS (Day 5 trek

From Hunwick’s, you will pass down and across the valley floor to Lake Kitendara which is very stunning with deep water and beautiful vegetation. You will climb up Scott Elliott’s pass then climb the ridge to Margherita camp situated between huge rocks offering some shelter from the strong winds.

DAY 10: EARLY MORNING HIKE TO THE MARGHERITA PEAK AT 5109 METERS (Day 6 trek with
an altitude gain of 624m)
Because of the weather changes and the need to reach the highest peak, trekkers normally wake up at 2:00 am for a 30 minutes breakfast and then head off to climb Mt Stanley at 2:30hrs. Early morning hike is meant to give us an opportunity to reach the peak by 10:00 am such that we can make a turn around. This is because after mid-day the mountain is closed in with heavy clouds and snow falls.
After ascending to the peak at 5109 metres, you will then pass directly down to Hunwick’s camp at 3874 meters.

DAY 11: 11 KM WALK TO KIHARO CAMP AT 3430 METERS
You will start the day by leaving Hunwick’s camp and climb up a ridge towards McConnell’s Prong where there are beautiful views of all the three peaks. After crossing the confluence, the trail meanders down the valley to Kiharo camp which is situated in a deep valley with high cliffs and dense vegetation.

DAY 12: WALK FROM KIHARO CAMP TO THE PARK GATE AT 1720 METERS AND THEN TO THE
BASE AT 1450 METERS AND TRAVEL TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
You will descend down the mountain back to the base by walking for about 12 km and passing through the Nyamwamba valley. This trail has stunning views, covered with moss rocks, cascading waterfalls, deep valleys and forests. The forest along this section is magnificent and full of life with many birds, primates.
After reaching the base, you will immediately travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The drive time from Kasese to Queen Elizabeth National Park is about 1 hour.

DAY 13: EXPLORATION OF QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK WITH A MORNING GAME
DRIVE/LION TRACKING AND AFTERNOON BOAT RIDE ON KAZINGA CHANNEL
Early morning, you will conduct a game drive in the Kasenyi plains where you will see various animals such as Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes and Antelopes.
Lions are elusive cats and chances of sighting them during the normal game drives are limited.
To enhance the chances of sighting them, you will track lions during the game drive in Kasenyi plains. This activity of lion tracking enables you to get up close to a pride of unguarded lions.
While here, the trained rangers and conservationists will enlighten you more about lion behavior. It’s such an interesting and surely an activity for the daring!
In the afternoon, you will go for a 2 hours boat ride on Kazinga channel where you will see several water adapted animals and birds such as hippos, crocodiles, kingfishers, eagles and monitor lizards. After the boat ride, you will return to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

DAY 14: TRAVEL TO BWINDI FOREST NATIONAL PARK
After a relaxed breakfast, you will travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park for the main highlight of this safari, and this is gorilla tracking in Bwindi forest.
Bwindi is home to almost half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world and your encounter with these gigantic creatures will certainly give you lasting memories about your safari.

DAY 15: GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST
Early morning, you will go gorilla trekking. This amazing activity takes you through the densely forested steep hills until you finally meet these tranquil gorillas within the green plant cover. It is such a wonderful yet memorable encounter.
Once gorillas are identified, the ecstasy and frenzy cannot be explained in words. You will only explain this when you get to encounter with these gentle giants! For conservation purposes, you will be allowed a maximum time of one hour in the vicinity of the gorillas and then after walk out of the dense forest. Your time with the gorillas will certainly create long lasting memories about your visit to Uganda.

DAY 16: TRAVEL TO ENTEBBE WITH ENROUTE PHOTO SESSION AT THE EQUATOR MONUMENT
After your awesome time in Western Uganda and Mount Rwenzori climbing, you will embark on your return road trip to Entebbe. Along the way, you make a brief stop at the equator crossing, take the best photo shots and engage in some of the activities and experiments that people normally engage in when they reach the equator. The experiments engaged in are not scientifically tested/proved but fun to watch. These experiments involve pouring water in the
basin while observing how it swirls in opposite directions in the northern & southern hemispheres of the equator line.
